Armed Forces Hospital (Southern Region) provides medical and health services (curative, preventive, diagnostic) in all medical specialties for employees of the Ministry of Defense in the southern region.
In addition, being a reference hospital that receives critical cases transferred by military hospitals from Sharurah, Najran, Jizan, it also receives Cases referred from civilian hospitals in the region, and provides services for open heart surgery, kidney transplantation and all other subspecialties that are not available in hospitals in the southern region.
Over the past four decades, the facilities of the two hospitals have been developed and expanded to become today an integrated medical monument in the southern region, where the clinical capacity has been raised to (609) beds, and it is intended in the near future that the hospital will become an integrated medical city with centers and specialties.
